Craft village festival to open in Hanoi

The “Thang Long-Hanoi craft villages and streets” festival will be held at the Bach Thao botanical park in Hanoi from September 16-21.

At the event, international and domestic visitors will have chances to discover products from five traditional craft villages in Hanoi, namely Bat Trang ceramic village and Kieu Ky gold plating village in Gia Lam District, Van Phuc silk village in Ha Dong District, Son Dong handicraft village in Hoai Duc District and Phu Vinh rattan village in Chuong My District.

Over 100 photos on craft villages and streets from old times to now and record works of art set by Hanoian artisans will be on display.

Additionally, a contest to make handicrafts products and a millennial Thang Long cup will also be held.
