The northern port city of Hai Phong will organise the first Culture, Sports and Tourism Week from Sept. 28 to October 2 in response to the grand ceremony of the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.
The city’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Department said the week, which is expected to be held annually, aims to encourage service and tourism businesses to expand production and diversify and raise the quality of their products.
The week will include the second lion dance contest, a gastronomic festival, an artefacts, drinks and tourism exhibition, water puppet shows, folk games and other traditional art performances, the department said.
