Fireworks set off at Viet Tri to celebrate Hung King Festival
According to ministry of culture, sports and tourism of Vietnam, Viet Tri City will set off a fireworks at the evening of April 22nd (9th of third lunar month), just one day before the offering to the Hung Kings at Hung King Temple.
The source said that the festival this year will last for 10 days from April 14-23 and will be celebrated in a larger scale with many cultural activities. President Nguyen Minh Triet and leaders of Party and Government will join and offer incense to the kings in the morning of 10th the third lunar month.

The festival includes many typically cultural activities. Set aside from fireworks, there will be calligraphy performance, releasing lanterns on Khuon Muoi Lake and Bach Hac River interflow on the occasion of the 7th cultural and tourism days of Northeast Vietnam provinces, outside photo exhibitions on Vietnam ancient capitals and Hung King Festival’s documentaries as well as many other sports and competitions such as rowing contest, making Trung cake and Giay cake…
The celebration of Hung King Temple is aimed to educate the youth and people about the royalty to Motherland and admiration to the heroes in the history of Vietnam and promoting national solidarity.
