Floating markets in Mekong Delta

Floating markets are the feature of water life of people in the southern of Vietnam. There are many big floating markets set up in Mekong Delta like Cai Be, Cai Rang and Phong Dien. Dan Tri Newspaper took some photos on their floating life.


The Cai Rang floating market in the early morning.

Agricultural produce hung on bamboo poles, displaying products offered by each boat.


Each big boat has a small boat to carry agricultural producers to the market.


Goods can be bought with money or by bartering goods.
