Vietnam-Korea cultural week takes place this weekend

Vietnamese and Republic of Korean Cultural Week has been held in Hanoi and HCMC from October 18-25 to boost the traditional friendship between the two countries in education, culture and public health.

The annual event will feature a festival of Republic of Korea films in Hanoi and HCMC; a photographic exhibition; football matches; a culinary festival of food from RoK; an exhibition on education; and a ceremony to grant Kumho-Asiana and POSCO scholarships to Vietnamese students and to present 10,800 books to the Vietnamese National Library and various Vietnamese universities.

During the cultural week, there will be some forums and workshops held on economic cooperation, vocational development held by experts from both countries.

Previously, on September 3-6, a Vietnamese cultural week was held in the RoK with a series of activities including an exhibition of photos of Vietnam’s countryside and its people; a show of Vietnamese traditional dress and a Vietnamese film festival.
